Further evidence for a stiff nuclear equation of state from a transverse-momentum analysis of Ar(1800 MeV/nucleon) + KCl.

چکیده
The novel momentum analysis technique introduced by Danielewicz and Odyniec can be used to detect and exhibit collective flow in the light System Ar(1800 MeV/nucleon) + KC1 where the usual kinetic energy flow analysis fails. The microscopic Vlasov-Uehling-Uhlenbeck theory which includes the nuclear mean field, two-body collisions, and Pauli blocking is used to study this phenomenon. The resulting transverse momentum transfers turn out to be quite sensitive to the nuclear equation of state. From a comparison with experimental data, evidence is presented for a rather stiff nuclear equation of state. The cascade model is unable to describe the data.

Excitation function of nucleon and pion elliptic flow in relativistic heavy-ion collisions
Within a relativistic transport (ART) model for heavy-ion collisions, we show that the recently observed characteristic change from out-of-plane to in-plane elliptic flow of protons in mid-central Au+Au collisions as the incident energy increases is consistent with the calculated results using a stiff nuclear equation of state (K= 380 MeV). We have also studied the elliptical flow of pions and ...

The proton elliptic flow in collisions of Ca on Ca at energies from 30 to 100 MeV/nucleon is studied in an isospin-dependent transport model. With increasing incident energy, the elliptic flow shows a transition from positive to negative flow. Its magnitude depends on both the nuclear equation of state (EOS) and the nucleon-nucleon scattering cross section. Different elliptic flows are obtained...

Information obtained from nucleus as a bound system of nucleons and from nucleon-nucleon scattering experiments is a strong tool for studying various aspects of nuclear forces. Deuteron-deuteron scattering as a four-nucleon system can provide useful information. So, scattering experiment of a polarized beam of deuteron with kinetic energy of65 MeV/nucleon from a liquid-deuterium target was done...

Using the Quantum Molecular Dynamics model, we analyze the disappearance of flow in heavier colliding nuclei. A power law mass dependence (∝ 1 √ A ) is obtained in all cases. Our results are in excellent agreement with experimental data which allows us to predict the balance energy for U + U collision around 37-39 MeV/nucleon. Thirty years ago it was predicted by Scheid and Greiner [1] that in ...
متن کاملEquation of State and Nucleon-Nucleon Cross Section in Medium
The equation of State (EOS) and nucleon-nucleon (NN) cross section in medium have been studied, using the antisymmetrized molecular dynamics model (AMD-V) of Ono et al. [1]. The model has been successfully applied to the Zn + Ni reaction at 35A to 79A MeV [2]. In the previous analysis in reference [2] the Gogny force and an empirical NN cross section were used to reproduce the experimental resu...
